About getting a hood clit pierced?

Question by Female Talking: About getting a hood clit pierced?
I’ve been thinking of that lately.
just a couple pre-getting into it questions. meaning, before I go “shopping” for it, just some info about it.

when getting my hood clit pierced, how long do I have to keep from having sex?
how do you take care of it? special soap\salt water?
how long does it take to heal completely?
any personal experiance is more than welcomed?

DONT Mutilate your precious womanly area. Why would you ever want to risk infection and pain in that area?????

I got mine done two months ago. they told me that about two weeks no sex or getting licked.
no special care!! just your regular cleaning and bathing.
there was two sharp pains getting it first done, one the needle going through, two then putting the post through(barbell or ring)
after that, if i sat wrong it kind of pinched but thats the only pain i really got from it.
it wasn’t like any of the other piercings ive gotten .
no crusty stuff or swelling, did have some bloody discharge out of it on my undies sometimes.
    anything else????

    1. Give it a month to heal before you have sexual contact.

    2. Wash it once a day with an unscented, undyed soap (I use dermaklenz, but dial works fine). Wash it in the shower, make sure it’s the last thing you wash before you get out.
Soak the piercing 3 times a day in a sea-salt solution (1/4 tsp sea-salt to 8oz warm water), each soak should last about 10 minutes.

    3. Several months. Mine was fully healed after 4 months.

I’ve not got this done, but i think it would be quite painful to be pierced, don’t think you could have sex until it was healed, but ask the piercer when it should be healed.

You should really go and talk to your piercer about stuff like sex, the healing of it, how to clean it and all..

Good luck and i hope it’s not sore!

I have a vertical hood piercing and had very careful sex a few days after. No oral sex though until completely healed cause the human mouth is full of germs. I just washed the piercing twice a day with glycerin soap and water and did daily salt water soaks for about 20 minutes. A detachable showerhead that you can bring down and spray direct onto it makes cleaning a lot easier. I totally believe it was the salt water soaking that had it completely healed in about 2 weeks. Don’t even notice it now, except during sex when it makes my orgasms insane.

I’ve had my vertical hood piercing for nearly 2 years, so my memory is a little foggy. I remember *why* I got it pierced: My friend double dog daring me into it. Haha. And the truth is, in my opinion it hurt less than my tongue and nose piercings. But I can’t guarantee it’ll e a piece of cake for you obviously.

I honestly don’t recall doing anything extra special to clean it. I obviously washed it everyday. The piercer will give you precise instructions for the aftercare of your piercing.

I have had no problems whatsoever with my piercing. It hasn’t increased sexual pleasure for me, but it’s still flippin cool to look at. I wish I could keep mine in for a long time, but I’m pregnant, and my doctor said I’m gonna want to take it out. I figure the alternative is worse. 80) I doubt I’ll repierce it, but we’ll see.

Good luck in your piercing endeavors!
